He was born before the opening of the church book in Freinsheim, Germany. He was confirmed in Freinsheim in 1712 [96]. In 1728 he was one of the signors of a petition to the Governor asking for protection from the Indians. In the tax list of 1734 he is listed as the owned of 100 acres in Hanover Township. He was naturalized by an act of the assembly in 1735 along with his brother Ludwig. He lived in New Hanover Township, Montgomery Co., PA, and was a miller and in 1742 had a tavern. [8]
